English as a Second Language (ESL) schools offer short-term English courses. Most courses are less than six months which may not require a study permit*. Therefore, it is a perfect opportunity to learn English while visiting Vancouver. 

 

Additionally, if onshore international students do not meet the English requirements for undergraduate studies,  they may take English pathway programs or IELTS courses at an ESL school.
